WIFE Radio Music Survey
For the week of June 25th through July 2, 1969.
I can't believe that WIFE Radio was a rock and roll station after
reading this list. A lot of these songs could be considered Adult Contemporary
or Middle of the Road, and Jazz.
Now, they're just oldies.
The survey's most requested song: "In the Year 2525" by Zager and
Evans (3rd week). |

The question marks on the "Last Week"
column are there because that part of the survey was unreadable. (It was
covered up.)
I was pleased, but surprised, to see these artists on the rock
and roll survey (from bottom of the chart to the top): Herbie Mann, Roy Clark,
Richard Harris, and Henry Mancini.
My questions: Did Smokey Robinson also record "Abraham, Martin,
and John?"
Is that Beach Boy tune "Breakaway the same one that Art
Garfunkel recorded?
Did the Bee Gees know their tune, "Tomorrow, Tomorrow" would
become a song in the play "Annie?" I know it's NOT the same song...I
just wanted to see if you were actually reading this!
