station was seen thousands of miles away (overseas!) and three years after they
signed off. (This was way-y-y-y before videotape!)

The phone company wanted a lot of time and money to
install a line from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, there was less than thirty days
to get the job done.
This is the the story of how Klaus Landsburg at KTLA,
Los Angeles, did the impossible and delivered quality TV signals to the entire
nation of an atomic bomb test.
How
Klaus Landsberg made his way to Los Angeles to build a television station that
became a leader in programming and electronic innovation.

put together a promotion to keep a single engine airplane aloft for new world's
